About Lancaster
Lancaster is located approximately 70 miles north of downtown Los Angeles, It is separated from the Los Angeles Basin by the San Gabriel Mountains to the south, and from Bakersfield and the San Joaquin Valley by the Tehachapi Mountains to the north. The area within Lancaster is covered by terrain where shrubbery abounds, there are also forests, grasslands, lakes, rivers, and croplands.
By marketing its proximity to the Los Angeles studios and its rugged terrain, the Antelope Valley is a great option to provide wasteland, isolation moods and high desert backdrops in state without having to go to Arizona or Texas.
Two locations worth mentioning are the The Sanctuary Adventist Church, otherwise known as the The Kill Bill Church and the Club Ed Movie Set a pseudo Route 66 locale built in 1990 for the Dennis Hopper film Eye of the Storm. It is still an active location set that can be rented for film.
