This unique and breathtaking location is conveniently located just 45 minutes outside of Los Angeles.
Since 1928, these sandstone formations have starred as the backdrop of nearly two hundred other film and television productions.
From classic television shows like as Gunsmoke, Maverick and Bonanza to more contemporary television hits like Airwolf, Alien Nation, Sliders and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Vasquez Rocks have provided a stunning location for Sci-Fi and action films and shows like Star Trek Roswell, 24, and CSI.
Across all film making genres Vasquez rocks have been featured from Horror in the 1931 classic Dracula, the cult 1993 horror film Army of Darkness, Comedy in Mel Brooks' 1974 western comedy Blazing Saddles, , the hit 1997 comedy Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery, Sci-Fi with Tim Burton's 2001 remake of Planet of the apes to Drama in Nick Cassavetes' 2006 drama Alpha Dog.
