Santa Monica Beach is fringed by Palisades Park, with views over the Pacific Ocean. During the summer months the pier is venue to weekly outdoor concerts, movies, and other activities. The earliest movie filmed at the Pier was a Charlie Chaplin film, in 1914. Since then the Pier and its worldwide recognizable Ferris wheel have starred as one of Hollywood’s favorite locations for romantic scenes along the boardwalk, beach-fit tanned bodies and arcade youngster love.

Santa Monica pier can be spotted in these popular titles, you may recall some: Bean, Forrest Gump, Her, Iron Man, Lords of Dogtown, Pacific Rim Uprising, Quicksand, Rocky III, The Net and The Sting. Television has also featured this location prominently, here are some examples: Charlie’s Angels, Columbo, Criminal Minds, 24, Modern Family, Star Trek: Voyager, The amazing Race and The incredible Hulk to name a few.
